NSRA ESSEX SWAP MEET 2013

First time for us to this event and jeesus what an event.. i really have been missing out.
The main supply of parts and stuff usually come from the Newark Auto jumble every couple months but if its Hot Rod or Drag Car stuff then Essex is the place. Why is it only once a year ??
Surely such a well attended show by traders and punters alike should be at least a couple of times a year.
We arrived at 10.30 and still had to Que up for half hour to get in AND IN A MINUS 10 BLIZZARD..
Good job I'm only starting to build the chassis for my Coupe and don't actually know what stuff I'm after yet or i could of easily spent a fortune there.. ended up just buying a Chevy pic up For parts it had a 350 Ci engine and rebuilt th350 auto box complete rolling cab , with an earlier Chevy pic up rear bed plonked on it.. we needed a donor bed for the Vanguard Truck were building and i needed an engine and box to play with for the Coupe.. perfect.
Fantastic day mooching about looking at cool stuff.

KDT DOES STONELEIGH

By the feedback from show goers was by all accounts a good show ..lots positive comments all round just the Triumph only parking should of been inside not split into 2 filds outside..anyway if thats all they had to moan about then its a good thing. Looks like a positive year ahead for the Triumph scene in general and for KDT C&C with a good intrest in the cars we built and showed .. Must admit i was proud of the KDT crew they did a stunning job im very proud of the lads even the part time crew you know who you are.. Thanks to my team :- Tony Ballony, Dwayne, Dean, Chaz banger, Little David, Craig McQueen, Justin Bustin and Mc Douggie. Car of the show for me has to be the 9.90 Blown SBC Supergas Herald ..Spot on Tony , nice one.

SHOWTIME

Well were defiantly in as we've just put a stand up in hall 4.. Cant miss us as were black and yellow with a couple of cars to look at.. no suspension on show as they still not ready.. Got most parts covered but final machining to be done.
The MK1 PI will be there on show as will be the black 2.5 EFI Spitfire we built a few years back  still looking pretty good for its age..The 59 Red Top powered Coupe  will be on show as a "work in progress" display of what were up to and showing the Subaru diff kit that's fitted ..so come have a look a chat and sit down with a beer on the stand and enjoy..
